RISK ASSESSMENT //

Creating a Risk Assessment is a vital part of any trip away. Since I was taking a student out to several locations and using potentially dangerous equipment, I had to ensure a risk assessment was carried out beforehand.

 

The biggest risk was the use of fire, through the lighter and the bonfire. Luckily the bonfire scene was not filmed with Alex, but at home in the garden and therefore I could put out measures to ensure safety for my family and I. However, the lighter was a key issue when filming the burning of the Missing Poster with Alex, since it took a lot of strength to click it on. Therefore, we did have two incidents where she burnt her hair and her thumb nail carelessly, whilst trying to light the lighter. To prevent this accident from occurring again I would have to ensure that another lighter would be available for use, and if possible, tie up long hair. Luckily it only singed a few ends!
